1. Who can join the swim team?

Any member of the Great Neck School District who can pass an evaluation by the coaching staff that competitive swimming is appropriate for them.

2. What are the hours for the swim team?

Practices are Monday through Thursday 7-9 .

Meets are held at the times the other teams can host - mainly weekends.

3. What is the maximum age for a swimmer?

16 Calculated as of November 1st of the current swim season

4. Must I swim in swim meets?

Yes this is a competitive team and not a workout session.

5. Do I have to be in the pool during the caregiver and me program?

To start each session parents or guardians are required to be in the water with swimmers. As swimmers become more comfortable in the water the instructor may start to have swimmers without a guardian in the water.
