LIGHTS AND ICE AT THE VILLAGE GREEN BEGINS THIS WEEKEND

Lights and Ice Grand Opening Poster 2019 (NEW)

Time to bundle up and sharpen those ice skates because Sun., Dec. 8 through Sun., Jan. 12, you can take a spin on the outdoor ice rink while taking in the spectacular display of light that will transform the Village Green into a virtual winter wonderland.

Whether you want to practice your spins or just glide around the ice, grab your skates and check out one of the most unique winter ice skating rinks on Long Island!
In addition to skating, skate rental is available, as well as food/snack concessions, fire pits, igloos and special events. So get ready to head out to the Village Green ice rink beginning Sunday, December 8, starting at 3 p.m.

GRAND OPENING 
 "LIGHTS AND ICE" 
Sunday, December 8 
3 - 7 p.m.
The GRAND OPENING includes our NEW outdoor ice rink, public skating, live music, free inflatable rides, fire-pits, craft-making, food & beverages and more. 
Our tree lighting begins at 5:30 p.m. 
Watch as we illuminate the entire park. 
Here is what is happening...

  • DR. PAM LEVY  &  HER G N NORTH ALL-STARS: 4 - 4:30 p.m. Dr. Levy, GNNHS Dept. Head of Fine & Performing Arts/Dir. of Vocal Music, accompanies her talented students as they perform.
  • VISIT FROM SANTA: 4:15 - 5:15 p.m.  
  • ON-ICE PERFORMANCES: 4:45 - 5 p.m. Solo performances by Ilana Sherman, Kaitlin Krafchik, Sue Zhang and Francesca Cilluffo followed by a special group number by our two Galaxies Synchronized Skating teams. 
  • TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY: 5:30 p.m.
  • INFLATABLES & CRAFTS: 3 - 7 p.m. FREE! Enjoy inflatable rides and holiday craft-making.


DECEMBER 8 - JANUARY 12

SKATE WITH US!

Monday-Thursday: 4–9 p.m.;  Fridays: 4–10 p.m.; Weekends: 10 a.m.–10 p.m.


All activities and public sessions at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink will remain as scheduled except 

  • Public session from 7:45 to 9:45 p.m. on Sun., Dec. 8, 15, 22, 29, Jan. 5 and 12
