Yoga (adults): Mon., June 1 & Thurs., June 4, 9-10 a.m. & Fri., June 5, 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Instructor, Thalia Gavriel, began practicing yoga nearly a decade ago and was instantly drawn by the beauty of breath-connected movement. After several years of consistent practice, Yoga became so much richer and fuller than she could have ever imagined. This experience made the process of exploring yoga and evolving her practice an essential part of daily life.

Zumba (kids): Mon., June 1 & Fri., June 5, 4-4:30 p.m.

Instructor Michele Tabaroki has been dancing since childhood. She has studied ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and Middle Eastern dance. She has been teaching Dance and Fitness across the Northshore of Long Island since 2006. In 2009, it seemed like a natural progression for her to delve into the fitness industry and she became a licensed Zumba® instructor and Group Fitness Instructor. She also teaches strength training, Zumba Toning and Bellydance. What is truly inspiring for Michele, is that participants of all ages and dance/fitness levels are part of her classes on a daily basis. Opening ConfiDanZe & Fitness in 2014 was a dream made into reality for Michele. Come and join the party and see what it’s all about.

Zumba (adults): Tues., June 2 & Sat., June 6, 10-11 a.m.  

Instructor Michele Tabaroki began bellydancing in 1995 and instantly fell in love with the ancient art form. Her Middle Eastern dance training started in Toronto, Canada, where she was part of the Habeeba Hobeika Egyptian Folkloric Dance Troupe, where she performed many cultural events. She continued training in New York with the late renowned master teacher, Renate Wallasch, Elisheva and Kaeshi of Bellyqueen, Ranya Renee, Yousry Sharif, Nourhan Sharif, Nourhan Sharif, Karim Nagi and Tamalyn Dallal to name a few. Kickboxing (kids & teens ages 7+): Tues., June 2, 2:30-3:15 p.m.   

Taught by Great Neck A+ Martial Arts instructors: Adham Sabry, owner/chief instructor of A+ Martial Arts, World Medalist/Professional Karate Fighter of KARATE COMBAT. Official Coaches Certification of USA National Karate Federation , Safe-sport & Certified Background check by NSIC; Ashley Davis, owner/chief instructor of A+ Martial Arts, World Medalist/Member of U.S. OLYMPIC NATIONAL TEAM. Official Coaches Certification of USA National Karate Federation, Safe-sport & Certified Background check by NSIC. Get in shape with this exciting, fast paced class which includes speed drills, kicks and punches. Perfect for building cardiovascular endurance, physical strength and flexibility. Participants should wear sport attire and have water and light weights (<3 lbs) available.

Basketball Skillz & Drillz (2nd grade & up): Tues., June 2, 4-4:30 p.m.

Local Great Neck resident and Park District basketball coach, Steve Cronin will help to improve your dribbling skills, as well as offer tips on enhancing your passing and shooting techniques.

Pilates (adults): Wed., June 3, 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Instructor Zenia Krause is a fitness specialist with over 15 years experience. As a personal trainer and fitness instructor she has held classes in various locations at New York Sports Clubs and Life Health Fitness. Her specialties include: Pilates, Barre, Total Body and Yoga. She recently became certified as a Health Coach with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and looks forward to continuing helping others achieve the health and fitness lifestyle.  

Middle Eastern Dance Fusion (adults- all levels): Wed., June 3, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.

Instructor Michele Tabaroki incorporates and fuses all styles of dance and music found in the Middle East and beyond. You will dance to Persian, Arabic, Hebrew, Bollywood and Egyptian music and much more. The dances are simple to follow, empowering, uplifting and fun! Discover the beautiful and mystical movements of the Middle East. Beginners to advanced welcome.

NEW DAY & TIME! Blank Canvas Art Class (family friendly!): Wed., June 3, 4-5 p.m.

Instructor Shauna Delafraz Gabay is an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, who offers a relaxing art class demonstrating painting with acrylic paint (feel free to follow along using any materials you have at home). *Materials needed (purchasing optional): Canvas, blank paper or cardboard AND acrylic paint, watercolor, markers or colored pencils- *any materials at home will work. We will be primarily using the colors blue, green, black and white. If you are using paint or watercolor, make sure to protect your work surface and have a cup of water and a paintbrush handy. NEW CLASS! My Style Camp Fashion Illustration & the Fine Arts (ages 6-12):

Thurs., June 4, 2-3 p.m.

Founder Stacey Saltzman, costume designer & former Tommy Hilfiger girls designer, helps participants create fashion illustrations based on a famous artist. Learn about the artist and design a fashion illustration based on the artist’s style/influence. Using magazines, markers, paints and any medium that helps participants express creativity while making their design.My Style Camp provides Inspiration board and Fashion Croqui template. Participants should have sharpened pencil, markers, colored pencils or paints, blank paper, scissor and magazine to cut, if needed. 

Barre (adults): Thurs., June 4, 5-6 p.m.

Instructor Zenia Krause is a fitness specialist with over 15 years experience. As a personal trainer and fitness instructor she has held classes in various locations at New York Sports Clubs and Life Health Fitness. Her specialties include: Pilates, Barre, Total Body and Yoga. She recently became certified as a Health Coach with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and looks forward to continuing helping others achieve the health and fitness lifestyle. *Equipment is minimal, perhaps not needed. However, a sturdy chair for balance is an option. For women, a set of dumbbells - 3 lbs. or less, for guys - 5 lbs. or less. Alternatively, two water bottles the same size would work. 

Basketball Moves & Grooves (2nd grade & up): Fri., June 5, 3-3:30 p.m. 

Local Great Neck resident and Park District basketball coach, Steve Cronin will help to improve your basketball “moves and grooves”. If possible, have a basketball hoop available.
