ACCESSIBLE ART at the Great Neck House

This program provides children and young adults with disabilities the opportunity to explore the love of art with few limitations. Various art media explored in the field of art/crafts in a passionate, caring environment. This course is taught by special education instructors with extra special TLC.

Mondays 6:30-8:00PM: ages 18 and up
October 22 - December 17 (classes prorated)

THERAPEUTIC ICE SKATING!

This program provides children and young adults with disabilities the opportunity to experience ice skating with few limitations.
Ice skating is taught by special education instructors in a passionate, caring environment.
With extra special TLC, the students will feel a sense of belonging and learn how to enjoy the ice.

-Great coach-student ratio, small, intimate classes, teacher led instruction

Each week participants will work on different fundamentals of the game of tennis. Participants will have an opportunity to increase their social skills through taking turns, working in teams, and following instructions. Activities each week will include: Group Warm-Up - Hand-Eye Coordination - Racquet Skills - Volleys - Groundstrokes - Group Games & more. We will provide racquets and all equipment. Participants should wear athletic clothing and sneakers and bring water. We ask that parents/caregivers be responsible for assisting with any toileting or self-care if necessary.
