ACCESSIBLE ART at the Great Neck House

This program provides children and young adults with disabilities the opportunity to explore the love of art with few limitations. Various art media explored in the field of art/crafts in a passionate, caring environment. This course is taught by special education instructors with extra special TLC.

Saturdays 12-12:45 p.m. for ages 7 - 13

THERAPEUTIC ICE SKATING

This specialized skating program, run by program coordinator Cindy Zubli, provides children & young adults with disabilities the opportunity to experience ice skating with few limitations.
Ice skating is taught by special education instructors in a passionate, caring environment.
With extra special TLC, the students will feel a sense of belonging and learn how to enjoy the ice. Great coach-student ratio, small, intimate classes, teacher led instruction.

A variety of different fundamental tennis skills are the focus each week, giving participants an opportunity to increase their social skills through taking turns, working in teams and following instructions. Weekly activities include group warm-up, hand-eye coordination, racquet skills, volleys, groundstrokes, group games & more. We provide racquets and all equipment. Wear athletic clothing, sneakers and bring drinking water.  Parents/caregivers are responsible for assisting with any toileting or self-care, if necessary.
