2019 Steppingstone Waterside Theatre

Every summer, for over 40 years, Steppingstone Waterside Theatre is transformed into a perfect outdoor venue, providing an opportunity for our residents to see some of the most outstanding entertainment under the stars while looking out over beautiful Long Island Sound. You will be delighted to know that we have another magical summer in store for you.

All performances in Steppingstone Park are free for Park District residents with a valid park pass. Each park pass holder is permitted to bring two (2) guests per park pass at no extra charge.

Dance Visions

Thursday, July 25: Dance Visions NY

Director Beth Jucovy of Dance Visions NY, brings her full company of acclaimed dancers to present the works of  Isadora Duncan, as well as new, original Jucovy pieces, fusing different styles of jazz, ballet and contemporary dance. Live music accompanies the dancers.

Saturday, July 27: Godfrey Townsend: "Clapton is GOD-frey" Tribute Show

Currently guitarist for the Yardbirds,
Townsend’s vast classic rock experience
will have you rocking during this tribute
to Eric Clapton. He’s worked with John
Entwistle, Jack Bruce, Dave Mason, Todd
Rundgren and so many more.

Sunday, July 28:                                             BEER & WINE FESTIVAL featuring the music of That 70's Band, The Meade Brothers, Kindred Soul and Terrapin: Grateful Dead Tribute Band

Taste and purchase local craft beers and
wines, enjoy food trucks (including
GLATT Kosher from Shiraz Restaurant).
Enjoy music, games and activities. Two
(2) free guests per park pass. Additional
guests $10 each. Children under age 13
admitted free.

Saturday, August 3:                                     Jazz Fest featuring Hannah Gill and The Hours

Combining ‘70’s pop & rock with
contemporary soul & blues, this vocal
powerhouse and songwriter transforms
music into sweet and sultry songs to
make them her own.

Paul Korman, leading this big band,
brings the 60’s hits from Motown to
Great Neck. You will hear favorites from
artists such as Marvin Gaye, Martha & the
Vandellas and The Four Tops.

Sunday, August 11:                                    Lets Hang On! Four Seasons Tribute

These seasoned entertainers preserve
the music of the iconic Frankie Valli and
the Four Seasons, playing all the classics
you know and love.

Saturday, August 17:                                   Folk Fest featuring James
Maddock with Host Dave Sear

James Maddock has performed with
legends such as Bruce Springsteen and
Willie Nile. According to radio storyteller
Vin Scelsa, Maddock's " exquisitely
crafted" music "touches the soul." Dave
Sear opens the show.

Sunday, August 18:                                  Persian Concert featuring                        Farshid Amin

After becoming the lead singer of a
renowned east coast progressive pop
band, his first mega hit “Nastaran”
thrusted him onto the Persian music
scene, making him one of the fastest
growing Persian pop stars of all time.

Saturday, August 24:                                    TUSK Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band

Tusk takes the best elements of Fleetwood
Mac’s different eras and recreates
their sounds as authentically as one can
get to the real deal. You’ll hear favorites
such as “Landslide,” “Rhiannon,” “Go Your
Own Way” and many more.

Saturday August 31:                                 Belinda Carlisle of the Go-Go's

Achieving worldwide fame as the lead
singer of the Go-Go's, one of the most
successful all-female bands in history,
Belinda went on to have a successful
solo career with hits such as "Mad About
You," "I Get Weak," and "Heaven Is a Place
on Earth," among others.

Sunday, September 1:                              Neil Berg's "100 Years of Broadway"

Neil Berg continues the tradition of closing the Steppingstone concert season with his homage to the hits of Broadway. His talented group of singers and musicians perform selections from Broadways best.
