    Winter Yoga with Thalia Experience the energy and harmony of yoga at Great Neck House this winter. Beginning Friday, January 4 or Sunday, January 6 and running 14 weeks, experience the union of a peaceful mind, easeful spirit and connection with your true body. Our experienced yoga instructor offers the opportunity to listen to your body and focuses on your individual intentions for practice.

Apprentice Electronic Game Design – Platform Games
Mondays, March 11 - May 6

During Electronic Game Design: Platform Games, students will use Clickteam Fusion 2.5® to create their own video game. A platform game is a side-scrolling, Mario-type game where students program characters and a two-dimensional obstacle course. They attempt to avoid or overcome enemies and reach an end goal on multiple levels. At the end of the program, everyone takes home a working Windows-compatible game (Clickteam Fusion 2.5® does not support Mac or Android operating systems).

Accessible Art 2

This program provides children and young adults with disabilities the opportunity to explore the love of art with few limitations. Various art media explored in the field of art/crafts in a passionate, caring environment. This course is taught by special education instructors with extra special TLC.

Organic Cooking with Jenn


Come and make healthier foods by using organic ingredients with natural flavors, fruit and vegetable dyes, and no chemicals, pesticides, artificial flavors or colors.  Depending on class interest, we can even cook up our own body cream or soaps!

Standard Classes

General Information: Classes begin the week of February 25th and end the week of June 3rd. Course registration is on a first come, first served basis during regular registration department hours. Parents are required to stay for all children’s classes except classes indicated.  If you don’t see a class that meets your requirements please see our facility director about trying to coordinate another class. Monday, Thursday and Friday classes run for 13 weeks, Tuesday and Wednesday 14 weeks.

Beginner Ballet / Modern Dance

Ballet and Modern dance are considered two of the most fundamental forms of dance since both teach balance and coordination skills that can be used throughout life.  This class will teach students the basic skills and techniques of both dance forms.  Activities include bare, floor, center stage and traveling floor work in a fun, encouraging environment.  Leotard and tights preferred, ballet shoes required.

Cooking, math, science, reading, and history--all mixed up into one pot of fun! In Kids in the Kitchen, your child will learn to make: cookies, bread, brownies, Fruit Kabobs, muffins, pizza, salads and more! Teaches children safety, nutrition, cleanliness, measuring and use of equipment. Come join the fun. (All ingredients are kosher)
