    Tone and Stretch As you get older, do you find you can't do as much as you used to? Muscles begin to atrophy, resulting in weakened bones, recurring backache. Prevent these problems with regular exercise. The goal of this class is to keep a pain-free lifestyle. Spring Classes

General Information: Classes begin the week of February 25th and end the week of June 3rd. Course registration is on a first come, first served basis during regular registration department hours. Parents are required to stay for all children’s classes except classes indicated.  If you don’t see a class that meets your requirements please see our facility director about trying to coordinate another class. Monday, Thursday and Friday classes run for 13 weeks, Tuesday and Wednesday 14 weeks.

NEW! Mommy & Me Passport to Parks

Early childhood music classes. Each week class meets in a different park. Bring your own blanket. Rain location is Great Neck House.  

Begins week of July 1 and runs for 8 weeks.

Beginner Ballet / Modern Dance

Ballet and Modern dance are considered two of the most fundamental forms of dance since both teach balance and coordination skills that can be used throughout life.  This class will teach students the basic skills and techniques of both dance forms.  Activities include bare, floor, center stage and traveling floor work in a fun, encouraging environment.  Leotard and tights preferred, ballet shoes required.

Kids in the Kitchen

Cooking, math, science, reading, and history--all mixed up into one pot of fun! In Kids in the Kitchen, your child will learn to make: cookies, bread, brownies, Fruit Kabobs, muffins, pizza, salads and more! Teaches children safety, nutrition, cleanliness, measuring and use of equipment. Come join the fun. (All ingredients are kosher)

Exploring Clay

Anything can be hand built by you. We will show you how. Begin by pulling the clay, building your piece, to cleaning and glazing it. The sparkling results will amaze you! Children ages 3.5 and up.

Fun Art - Exploring Drawing

Scribble drawings, sponge paintings, handmade paper, graphite pencils, charcoal, and collages … all play a part in our Fun Art classes! Imagination, mixed-media, and an open mind, Will allow you to draw and explore! Children ages 5 and up.

Gymnastics/Tumble

Learn Gymnastics skills in a friendly environment that encourages movement and motivation. Students will learn to stretch, tumble, balance beam, hand stands, cart wheels and basic vault. Students should wear comfortable clothes.
