Nature Programs

Our adult nature programs are approximately one and two hours long. Advanced registration is required. These programs are for adults only; children under 16 years of age are not permitted to attend. Events usually involve some time outdoors and are held rain or shine, so dress accordingly. Register online or call 516 482-0355. Directions for trips outside the Park District will be mailed upon request.

Muttontown Preserve, equestrian entrance on Rt 106.
Geared for the novice birder, join us to search for birds and plants. Bring binoculars.

Saturday, May 25; 9:45 a.m.- 12:45 p.m.
Caumsett State Park, Huntington.
Participants use map of the park to navigate to specific destinations. We cover approximately 5 miles at a moderate pace. Some hills. Bring drinking water and lunch.
