Nature Programs

Our adult nature programs are approximately one and two hours long. Advanced registration is required. These programs are for adults only; children under 16 years of age are not permitted to attend. Events usually involve some time outdoors and are held rain or shine, so dress accordingly. Register online or call 516 482-0355. Directions for trips outside the Park District will be mailed upon request.

Saturday, February 8, 11 a.m.

Participants use a map of the park to navigate to specific destinations.

JUST-A-HIKE
Saturday, February 29, 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.
Muttontown Preserve (equestrian entrance) in East Norwich. Relax and socialize during this moderately-paced hike. Trails may be muddy.

LONG WALK

Sunday, March 5, 11 a.m.

Kings Point Park, Redbrook Road entrance, first lot. Get some exercise and learn about nature while we tour the perimeter of our own 175-acre preserve.  Register by 3/8.


BEGINNER BIRDS & BOTANY IN BROOKVILLE

Michael Galgano Park- BOCES Environment Center,  Brookville.
In addition to exploring nature at this Nassau BOCES Center, we will learn about colonial and adventure programs that are offered here.
